Funcom studio continues to reveal the secrets of the ambitious survival simulator with MMO elements - Dune: Awakening and presented a new interesting trailer, dedicated to one of the possible ways of character development.

The developers told about the features of the Swordmaster of the Imperium school. The events of Dune are set in the distant future, in which soldiers and many mercenaries are protected by force shields, which makes firearms almost ineffective. That's why swords in Dune: Awakening have not lost their relevance and remain the most popular weapon.
Having chosen this way, players will get several branches of skills, which will allow to develop the character in different ways, for example, he can learn to reflect bullets with a sword or cleverly parry the attacks of enemies in close combat.
On the expanses of Arrakis gamers will meet several experienced swordsmen, who for a fee will teach the protagonist unique techniques.
When We Can Expect It
Dune: Awakening will be released on PC on the 10th of June, and the release date for console versions will be announced later. Deluxe edition buyers will get access to the game from the 5th of June.
