TP-Link has released the Tapo DL100 smart door lock with Deadbolt lock that supports the Samsung SmartThings platform. This is an important update for users of Samsung's smart home ecosystem, which has had a limited number of compatible devices until now.

Here's What We Know

The lock is already available in the US for $69.99. At the starting price, the model received a number of features: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, as well as five ways to unlock it - using a physical key, a numeric keypad, the Tapo app, voice commands via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings.

For security purposes, PIN masking and the use of one-time access codes are provided. The lock is compatible with the Tapo smart doorbell, which allows you to create a comprehensive security system. In addition, the device is IP54-rated for dust and splash protection.

Samsung Electronics recently announced another update to its global platform for connected living, SmartThings. The main feature of this update is the integration of SmartThings with Samsung Health, which allows you to improve sleep conditions and customise automation to individual user habits.
