Xiaomi unveils surveillance camera with 3K video, colour night mode and IP66 protection
Xiaomi has introduced a new outdoor surveillance camera, Outdoor Camera 4, which is already available in China for about $42 (299 yuan). The main feature of the device is a dual camera with two 5-megapixel sensors with different focal lengths.

One sensor captures details up close, while the other covers a wide area. One module is fixed, while the other is mounted on a movable gimbal, which allows for smoother shooting.
The camera records video in 3K resolution, providing clear and detailed images. The Outdoor Camera 4 captures colour video even at night thanks to a special night mode and eight LEDs that automatically turn on when a person is detected.

The device is IP66-rated, which guarantees resistance to dust and water. The camera can withstand any weather conditions. The camera is equipped with an MJA1 security chip with several certificates, which ensures a high level of privacy. Thanks to this chip, the camera can recognise objects and cars, and in case of suspicious events, it sends instant notifications to your smartphone.
In addition, Xiaomi Outdoor Camera 4 supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6, sound and light alarms, as well as connection to NAS systems and cloud storage. Currently, only the launch of sales in China is known, global availability and prices have not yet been announced.
