Tesla in a panic: Japanese startup offered a budget electric car, the mibot mini EV, for $7000
Electric cars are rapidly gaining popularity and their price is becoming more and more affordable every year. However, no one has ever produced such a budget model, which the Japanese startup KG Motors is ready to offer.
Here's What We Know
The public was presented to the electric car with the name mibot mini EV, equipped with only one seat for the driver. Its length is 250 centimetres, its range is up to 100 km, and its top speed does not exceed 60 km/h.
The car is priced at only $7 thousand, which is half the price of the best-selling electric car in Japan - Nissan Sakura.
The car has a minimalist design and lightweight construction, which, combined with low maintenance costs, will make the mibot an ideal transport for travelling around the city.
KG Motors has already received 2,250 orders, which it plans to fulfil by March 2027.
