While fans are eagerly awaiting the remake of Assassin's Creed Black Flag, artists from Pure Arts have made an interesting hint that may hint at the relatively soon appearance of an updated version of the game. It happened during a recent stream, where one of the hosts accidentally revealed more than planned.

Here's What We Know

During the broadcast, Pure Arts representatives were discussing future figures based on Black Flag Remake when one of the hosts suddenly said: "Assassin's Creed fans, you should know that something is going on with Edward Kenway." His colleague immediately asked if this was official information, to which the former replied that he had seen rumours and articles about it.

Although this could be a mere misunderstanding between official news and rumours, insiders confirm that Pure Arts is already working on remake-related merchandise.

According to Insider Gaming, the remake, codenamed Obsidian, is being created from scratch on the new Anvil engine. Initially, the release was planned for the end of 2025, but due to delays, Ubisoft postponed the release of several large-scale projects.

Currently, it is known that Obsidian's internal beta testing is scheduled for September, which indicates that the release may be postponed to 2026. Usually, the period from beta to official release can last from three to twelve months, depending on the level of completion of the game.
