It looks like the truth: a remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics, one of the best parts of the legendary series, may be announced at State of Play
Rumours about the development of a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster have been floating around for a few years now and there is a chance that today they will get official confirmation.
Here's What We Know
There were two eloquent hints that in a few hours there will be an announcement of the updated version of the game, which is considered one of the best in the long history of Final Fantasy. First, game director Yasumi Matsun reposted a post announcing Sony's State of Play show, but then abruptly deleted the post.
But what looks more interesting is a post by Jason Schreier, one of the gaming industry's most well-known and respected journalists and insiders:
I just want to say that Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the greatest games ever....
Remastered.
Plus, Final Fantasy Tactics turns 28 years old in June and maybe it's with a remaster that Square Enix will "congratulate" fans of the legendary franchise.
State of Play kicks off tonight (4 June) at 23:00 (CEST) and will last around 40 minutes, during which time the public will be introduced to new PlayStation 5 titles from Sony's internal studios and third-party developers.
