James Bond in 4K and 60 fps: thanks to PSSR, PlayStation 5 Pro will be the best console to play the upcoming 007 First Light
Following the title's official announcement earlier this week, IO Interactive's 007 First Light has received its first trailer, showing off the developers' take on the super spy James Bond. The video not only introduced the protagonist but also introduced us to several familiar characters including M, Q, and Moneypenny, as well as Bond's new mentor, Greenway, highlighting the Uncharted-like dynamic. But how will the game work on PlayStation?
Here's What We Know
While more details and gameplay will be revealed later this year, the developer has confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that 007 First Light will support PS5 Pro. Thanks to PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology, the game will offer 60 frames per second in Quality Mode. This is great news for those looking for the smoothest, most visually stunning spy adventure experience possible.
007 First Light will be released in 2026 on PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. Another reveal is expected at the IO Interactive Showcase on 6 June (alongside the MindsEye and Hitman shows). This means we can expect even more details about the gameplay, story, and possibly new characters.
