LG has unveiled the world's first 5K2K monitor with Thunderbolt 5 - great for those who work with large data sets and spreadsheets

LG presented UltraFine 40WT95UF - 40″ ultra-wide monitor with 21:9 aspect ratio, 5K2K (5120×2160) resolution and Thunderbolt 5 support. This is the first display of this type, designed for the needs of IT workers, financiers and anyone who is used to multitasking and large amounts of information on the screen.

Here's What We Know

IPS Black panel with 120Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium support promises a sharp picture and smoothness.

Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes are provided, so you can keep multiple video sources or interfaces open at once.

Thunderbolt 5 delivers up to 80Gbps and up to 120Gbps with Bandwidth Boost mode, and you can charge your laptop via the same cable. There is a set of additional ports: HDMI, DisplayPort 2.1, RJ45, USB-A and USB-C.

LG has not yet announced either the price or the UltraFine 40WT95UF sales launch date.
