While Samsung has not officially announced its first tri-folding Galaxy smartphone, the novelty appeared in the database of the Chinese regulator 3C under the model number SM-F9680.

Here's What We Know

Samsung first hinted at the development of such a gadget during the presentation of the Galaxy S25 in January.

The certification confirms that the device supports 5G networks and is charged with a wired charging adapter EP-TA800 with a maximum power of 25W.

Despite the three-bend design, the 25W charging speed seems insufficient, especially considering that some mid-budget Samsung models support charging up to 45W. It is likely that the charging adapter will not be included in the package, and users will have to purchase it separately.

The internal display of the Tri-Fold is expected to be about 10 inches diagonal, and the external screen is expected to be about 6.5 inches. This design will combine the compactness of the gadget with a large screen area for work and entertainment.

If the Chinese market is the first to launch this model, it could be a precursor to its future global release. Samsung is already preparing to launch Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7. It seems that the triple phone is likely to be released later and will be positioned as a premium model.

There is no detailed information on the date and terms of sale.
