Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 get Samsung's own browser before official release
Samsung has prepared a special version of its browser for the Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 even before the official launch. A separate entry for Samsung Internet Browser (version 28.0.2.43) has appeared in the Galaxy Store, which is aimed specifically at these new foldable smartphones.
Here's What We Know
Although this is actually the same browser that is already available in the One UI 8 beta, its appearance indicates that Samsung is preparing for the release of new products.
The Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 are expected to run One UI 8 based on Android 16. These models will be presented at a separate event in New York in early July 2025. In addition to the main Fold7 and Flip7, the company plans to introduce an updated Flip FE model and may also demonstrate its long-awaited triple-folding smartphone.
The release of a separate browser version demonstrates Samsung's commitment to optimising software for new form factors so that users can browse the Internet on flexible screens as comfortably as possible. This confirms the company's serious approach to the development of the foldable device ecosystem.
Recently, Samsung's triple smartphone was spotted in China charging with only 25W. Samsung first hinted at the development of such a gadget during the presentation of the Galaxy S25 in January. The certification confirms that the device supports 5G networks and is charged with a wired EP-TA800 charging adapter with a maximum power of 25W.
