"Requiem for the Dead. Nightmare for the Living": Resident Evil 9 debut trailer unveiled
Summer Game Fest saw the announcement that horror fans have been waiting for - Capcom unveiled the debut trailer of Resident Evil 9.
Here's What We Know
The game is subtitled Requiem and the plot will be centred not on Leon Kennedy, as insiders reported, but on Grace - the girl who was kidnapped by the Baker family in Resident Evil 7, and now she's an FBI agent and has to figure out what's going on.
Judging by the trailer, the players will return to Raccoon City, which was left only in ruins, and even visit the famous police station, where the events of Resident Evil 2 unfolded.
The video shows off some stunning graphics, but there's hardly any gameplay footage.
Capcom promises that Resident Evil Requiem will be a new stage not only in the development of the series, but also in the whole survival horror genre.
When We Can Expect It
Resident Evil Requiem will be released on 27 February 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
