NVIDIA, according to Videocardz sources, plans to introduce the GeForce RTX 5050 desktop graphics card in July 2025. It will be the most budget-friendly model of the new generation, based on Blackwell architecture.

Here's What We Know

The desktop RTX 5050 will reportedly get 8GB of GDDR7 video memory, which will be the first time this type of memory is used in an affordable graphics card model. Considering that NVIDIA never released the RTX 4050 for desktop PCs in the previous generation (Lovelace), the RTX 5050 release could fill that gap in the low-cost GPU lineup.

The exact specifications of the RTX 5050 are not yet known, but it is expected to run over a PCIe 5.0 interface, have a TDP of around 145W, and will be a suitable option for users looking for a modern graphics card at an affordable price.

A mobile version of the RTX 5050, which was previously spotted in the specs of Acer's Nitro gaming laptops, is also expected to arrive later.

Flashback

The GeForce RTX 50 line of graphics cards already includes the RTX 5060, RTX 5070, RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, which were announced earlier in 2025. All of them are based on the Blackwell architecture, support DLSS 4 technologies and feature new fifth-generation tensor cores. The RTX 5090, for example, has 32GB of GDDR7 memory and shows significant performance gains.
