G-Shock GBX100S is now available in Europe - a surf watch with a new design

Casio has introduced the new G-Shock GBX100S-1 and GBX100S-2 watches in Europe - the models are already available in the brand's online stores in the Netherlands, Spain and Germany for €169.

They are expected to appear on the US market in the near future. According to the G-Central blog, the new products can cost $170 in the US.

GBX100S is a G-Lide watch designed specifically for surfing. They have a metal frame, a transparent case (the so-called skeleton design), and two variations of straps: black (GBX100S-1) and blue (GBX100S-2). Both models are equipped with a MIP display with a dark background and light symbols, weigh 66 grams and measure 50.9 × 46 × 14.7 mm.

The watches support the display of tide charts, moon phases, sunrise and sunset times, and have world time, stopwatch, timer and alarm functions. Thanks to Bluetooth, they synchronise with your smartphone via the Casio Watches app, storing your workout data such as distance, speed and pace. The device is water resistant to 200 metres and runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery for up to two years.

It is not yet known when the new product will be available in the UK.

Casio has recently introduced two new G-Shock hybrid sports watches in Europe - the GMA-P2100SA-1A1 and GMA-P2100SA-1A2. The GMA-P2100 is a shock-resistant hybrid watch with an analogue dial and a small digital display.
