New Oppo Find X9 may come with flat screens
Oppo is preparing a new Find X9 series for the autumn launch, which, according to the latest leaks, may ditch curved screens in favour of flat panels. An insider at Digital Chat Station has revealed the display sizes of the models expected to be included in the lineup.
Here's What We Know
The two main smartphones Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will have flat screens of 6.59 and 6.78 inches, respectively. This is a noticeable change, as the company used curved displays in the previous generation Find X8. The manufacturer seems to have relied on a more classic design with flat screens.
In addition, another model with a 6.3-inch screen is mentioned. It is not yet known whether this is the base device of the series or a separate compact variant that could replace the Find X8s with a similar screen size.
It is expected that the Find X9 series will consist of four models, but details about other specifications have not yet been disclosed. It is known that Oppo plans to equip the new products with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, which is manufactured on TSMC's 3nm process technology. The chip will have one powerful Travis core, three Alto cores and four Gelas cores, as well as the Immortalis-Drage graphics processor.
The new processor will support SME instructions for improved performance in AI and machine learning.
The Dimensity 9500 is expected to launch in September, and the first Oppo Find X9 models may be released alongside it.
Recently, an insider at Digital Chat Station shared exclusive information about the flagship Oppo Find X9 Ultra smartphone, which is due to go on sale in early 2026.
