The magic of indie gaming is calling again: the long-awaited sequel to the platformer Planet of Lana is coming in 2026
Following the success of the original Planet of Lana, Wishfully announced the development of the long-awaited sequel, Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf, which will once again immerse us in the adventures of Lana and Mui in 2026. Although the planet has been saved, there are many dark secrets hidden beneath its surface that are waiting to be revealed.
Here's What We Know
The sequel expands the puzzle-solving mechanics of the first game with new robots that offer additional solutions. Stealth is just as important as ever, and the developers promise "refined" mechanics and "improved accuracy" in interacting with Mui. Of course, there are still plenty of action scenes, and Lana is now much more agile.
In addition to wall jumping and sliding, she moves faster than before, which will come in handy during the new underwater sections. If that weren't enough, composer Takeshi Furukawa also returns to create the soundtrack, ensuring the incredible atmosphere that fans have come to love.
Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and will be available on Game Pass from day one. In the meantime, if you haven't played the original yet, be sure to check out our review here.
