Santa Monica Studio is preparing to add God of War-style puzzle elements to its yet-to-be-announced game, as evidenced by a fresh job posting. This means that the next project from the creators of the cult adventure Kratos could combine the best features of the beloved series with something completely new.

Here's What We Know

Besides the story and epic battles, another element that has long been part of the core God of War experience is puzzles. Recently, new information about Santa Monica Studio's upcoming project revealed that this particular aspect of the God of War games has been chosen to be included in the new title.

A job posting published by PlayStation for an unannounced project at Santa Monica Studio mentions that the interested candidate should have experience creating "God of War-style puzzles". Apparently, this job posting for a Senior Level Designer confirms that the game in development will take a cue from God of War when it comes to puzzle design.

The job requirements reveal involvement in "3D world building", which indicates that the game is different from the 2.5D God of War game that is also rumoured to be in development at the US studio.

Now it's very interesting to see what Santa Monica is working on that is so new.
