The Gears of War: Reloaded multiplayer beta starts this week - players will be able to try out two modes

Microsoft and The Coalition studio announced beta testing of multiplayer modes of Gears of War: Reloaded.

Here's What We Know

Testing of the updated shooter of 2006 will be held in two stages and will be available to those who pre-order Gears of War: Reloaded, owners of Ultiimate-edition of the original (if the game was purchased before the 5th of May), as well as subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

  • Thefirst stage will take place from 13 to 15 June and will allow you to try out Team Deathmatch mode on three maps: Gridlock, Raven Down and Gold Rush.
  • Thesecond stage will take place from 20th to 22nd June and players will be able to test the King of the Hill mode on the Canals map, while the Courtyard and War Machine maps will be added to Team Deathmatch.

As a bonus for Gears of War: Reloaded pre-order and Game Pass subscription the developers will give players two skins: Adam Phoenix and Anya Stroud.

When We Can Expect It

Gears of War: Reloaded will be released on the 26th of August. The game will be released not only on PC and Xbox Series, but also for the first time in the history of the series will appear on PlayStation. The shooter will be available on Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming (with Xbox Play Anywhere) from day one.

The updated game claims the following improvements:

  • 4K resolution;
  • 60 FPS in the story campaign;
  • 120 FPS in multiplayer mode;
  • support for HDR, Dolby Vision and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos and 3D sound;
  • VRR technology support;
  • 4K assets and enhanced textures;
  • enhanced visual effects, shadows and reflections;
  • super resolution with improved anti-aliasing;
  • no loading screens during the story campaign;
  • cross-play and cross-progression on all platforms.
