Dataminer with the first information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 - the game will not have prescribed characters, but will return weapon customisation
At Xbox Games Showcase 2025, which took place a few days ago, Microsoft and Activision surprised the audience Unexpected announcement: unusual Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 teaser unveiled.
The debut trailer didn't reveal any details of the shooter, except that the events will unfold in 2035, and David Mason, who is familiar to the fans of Black Ops sub-series, will be in the centre of attention again.
Here's What We Know
Dataminer Vondyispog shared the first information about Black Ops 7, but, of course, it should be treated with a degree of scepticism.
According to his information, three out of four players in co-operative mode (the main focus of the game is on it) of the story campaign will take on the role of nameless and, most likely, dumb soldiers, while one participant will control David Mason and will become the leader of the team. The developers will allow some freedom to customise weapons and equipment, as was the case in Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 3, for example.
There is a small chance that the player character will still speak, but it will definitely not get a prescribed story.
Black Ops 7 will once again feature Sanctuary, where players will purchase upgrades for gear and equipment.

Some missions will occasionally...
When We Can Expect It
Most likely, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be released, as always, in autumn, and the full presentation of the shooter will take place before the end of summer 2025.
