AutoRAI.nl has learnt from a Suzuki Netherlands representative, who wishes to remain anonymous, about the upcoming new generation of the Suzuki Across crossover. This model will again be built on the basis of Toyota RAV4, but the new, sixth generation. The official debut is expected in the first quarter of 2026.

Here's What We Know

The new Suzuki Across will again be a plug-in hybrid, but it is not yet clear in what configuration. "Donor" RAV4 offers a choice of Plug-in Hybrid 270 and Plug-in Hybrid 300. The power output of the former reaches 197 kW (268 hp), while the version labelled 300 reaches 223 kW (304 hp). The electric range of the new RAV4 PHEV is 100 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.

The Suzuki Across was first unveiled in July 2020. The car went on sale in Europe in autumn 2020. It is almost a complete copy of the fifth-generation Toyota RAV4 (XA50) except for the front body styling and minor interior differences.

Toyota and Suzuki have a close relationship. The Toyota Corolla Touring Sports is available in the Suzuki range under the name Swace, and the new Toyota Urban Cruiser was developed in collaboration with Suzuki. In the case of Suzuki, this model goes by the name E-Vitara.
