At the Xbox Games Showcase, Obsidian Entertainment studio delighted gamers with the announcement of Grounded 2. It will be a sequel to the popular 2020 survival simulator, in which reduced to the size of insects people find themselves in a huge backyard and face ants, termites and other "giant" creatures there.

Here's What We Know

Of course, in Grounded 2 there will be a lot of different insects on the screen, including spiders, which will certainly cause terrible discomfort for people suffering from arachnophobia.

In an interview with Polygon portal, Grounded 2's game director Chris Parker confirmed that the new game will also feature a special mode that will visually change spiders into abstract balloon creatures.

This metamorphosis will affect not only spiders-enemies, but also those that can be used as riding "animals" (this is an innovation of Grounded 2). The developers faced significant difficulties in realising this feature, but what can't you do for the sake of gamers' comfort? - Obsidian managed to cope with the task at hand, while trying not to make customised spiders exaggeratedly cute.

When We Can Expect It

Grounded 2 launches in Early Access on 29 July on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass.
