It's official: the writers of the excellent Silent Hill 2 Remake from Bloober Team will release a similar re-release of the first instalment of the franchise
Konami has confirmed what horror fans have long hoped for - the first Silent Hill will get a remake!
Here's What We Know
Almost immediately after the release of the excellent Silent Hill 2 remake, its creators from Polish studio Bloober Team started subtly hinting that they would continue working with the franchise, and after that it became known that they It's official: after the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team will continue to collaborate with Konami.
Today the Japanese publisher confirmed that the cult horror from 1999 will indeed get a modern version and it will be Bloober Team that will realise this project. This is great news, as the studio has proven its professionalism in creating psychological thrillers and deep understanding of the Silent Hill franchise.
Konami only showed a short teaser in which the remake logo appears in the mist and it will obviously be a few more years before the game is released, but there is no doubt that it will be as cool a release as Silent Hill 2 Remake.
