Like Galaxy Watch Ultra: Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series may get a square body
Samsung is preparing to introduce a new line of Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatches next month. It will include three models - Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025.
Here's What We Know
According to the latest leaks and renders, all models will feature an updated "squircle" design, which first appeared in last year's Ultra model.
This stylish, almost square, but with rounded edges, will be the first time that the entire lineup will feature this design. This is especially noticeable in the Classic and Ultra, where the fan-favourite rotating ring around the screen will be retained. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic also retains a thicker bezel and gets the Quick button that first appeared in the Ultra.
The base model of Galaxy Watch 8 will have this design less pronounced, but will remain in two sizes - approximately 40 mm and 44 mm, like its predecessor. The Ultra design was created with an emphasis on durability and comfort for an active lifestyle, such as for tourists and athletes.
The new Ultra 2025 model is almost identical to its predecessor, except for a new blue colour with a matching Marine strap, which replaces last year's orange and dark grey versions.
The official presentation is expected to take place at the Samsung Unpacked event in July in New York. Usually, pre-orders and sales of new products start within two weeks after the announcement. This year, Samsung may again shorten the time between the presentation and the start of sales.
