Sony highlights Intergalactic and Wolverine among the main upcoming blockbusters for PlayStation 5
Sony has officially confirmed the status of two of the most anticipated exclusives for PlayStation 5 - Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet (Naughty Dog) and Marvel's Wolverine (Insomniac Games) as its main upcoming releases.
Here's What We Know
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a new original story by Naughty Dog, the creators of The Last of Us. Players will take on the role of Jordan A. Moon, a bounty hunter who is stuck on the isolated planet Sempiria, cut off from the galaxy for over 600 years. The plot explores themes of faith, religion and survival, and the visual style is inspired by cult anime such as Akira and Cowboy Bebop. The main character is voiced by Tati Gabrielle, and the soundtrack is composed by Oscar winners Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The game promises intense melee combat with a plasma sword and a deep storyline.
Marvel's Wolverine is another PS5 exclusive from Insomniac Games, the studio behind the Spider-Man series. Players will enjoy a brutal open-world action game where the main character, Logan, fights enemies using his iconic claws. And as many of you were worried that the game was cancelled, you can exhale. The project is in active development and new details are likely to appear this year.
Both games don't have an exact release date yet, but they are already being called key projects for the platform. Both Intergalactic and Wolverine rely on melee combat, unique settings, and an interesting story, which is in the style of PlayStation exclusives.
