Valve has released a major update for the beta client of the digital gaming service Steam and this time there is good news for Mac users.
Here's What We Know
Among the innovations, the developer indicated that he managed to implement native support for Steam on computers with Apple Silicon support.
Previously, the shop worked correctly only on Macs with chips from Intel, but such models are not produced since 2020. Valve promised to make Steam friends with current Mac versions and now the application is available on devices with Apple M1 chips and newer and works faster and smoother on them.
A full Steam release on Apple Silicon is likely to happen soon.
