Vivo X Fold5 will get a powerful camera and Apple integration
Vivo has officially shared new details about its new foldable smartphone X Fold5, which is expected to be released by the end of June.
Here's What We Know
The main feature of the gadget will be its ultra-thin and lightweight body.
In the new promo video, Vivo demonstrates the compactness and elegance of the X Fold5, as well as reveals details about the cameras. The main camera has an improved aperture of f/1.57 (compared to f/1.68 in the previous X Fold3 Pro model). The telephoto module offers 50 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.55 and a focal length equivalent to 70 mm, which provides 3x optical zoom.
Although the number of megapixels in the telephoto has decreased compared to the X Fold3 Pro, the aperture is wider, which should have a positive impact on the quality of low-light images. The ultra-wide-angle camera remains at 15 mm.
In addition, Vivo confirmed that the new device will have a battery with a capacity equivalent to 6000 mAh, and the total weight of the device will not exceed 219 grams. An important advantage will be the close integration with the Apple ecosystem - support for Apple Watch, AirPods, macOS, iCloud, as well as the ability to synchronise calls, messages and notifications with iPhone.
The Vivo X Fold5 is expected to be officially unveiled on 25 June, and the company will gradually reveal new details before that date.
Vivo recently showed how the X Fold 5 captures the smallest details in photos. The published images show details ranging from 1x to 20x zoom.
