Xiaomi is preparing for the global launch of its new smart home device - Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 Mini.

Here's What We Know

The novelty has already appeared in the lists on the brand's official global website, which indicates its imminent entry into international markets after its debut in China.

The mini-version is a more compact analogue of the previous model and allows you to measure the temperature and humidity in the room with high accuracy. In particular, the device records the temperature in the range from 0°C to 60°C with an accuracy of 0.1°C, and the humidity level from 0 to 99% RH.

The model supports Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0, which allows it to operate for up to three years on a single CR2450 battery. Through the Xiaomi Home app, users can view the data log or set up automatic scenarios, such as switching on a fan, air conditioner or dehumidifier when the readings go beyond the set values.

The main feature of the Mini-version is its smaller dimensions: 53.0 × 45.3 × 13.0 mm with a weight of 30 g. For comparison, the original model weighs 72 g and is almost twice as large. In addition, the Mini-variant has a higher maximum power output of 51 mW, but does not come with a stand like the older model.

No global launch date has been announced yet, but the device is expected to become available in the coming weeks. The estimated price is on par with the previous version, which costs €14.99 in Germany.
