Rumour: Xbox Game Pass may rise in price again - mysterious line of code hints at it
There is a possibility that Microsoft's popular gaming service is preparing for another price increase. A new line has been spotted in the code of the xCloud website, which directly hints at the upcoming increase in the cost of subscriptions.
Here's What We Know
The new line of code was spotted by a Twitter user @RedPhx, who noted that a new notification called "SubscriptionPriceIncrease" had been added. This line leaves no room for guesswork, as it essentially means that Xbox may be preparing for another price increase in the near future.
The last time the price of the Game Pass increased by as much as 25% was in July 2024, and since game prices are currently on the rise, it is easy to assume that the Game Pass will also become more expensive.
So, it's worth keeping in mind that Xbox could make an announcement about Game Pass price increases in the near future, but hasn't yet decided to do so.
At the time of writing, Game Pass costs players $10 for Core, $15 for Standard, or $20 for Ultimate.
