On the Geekbench website appeared the test result of the new flagship processor from MediaTek - Dimensity 9500 with the model number MT6993.

Here's What We Know

The chipset is built on TSMC's 3nm N3P process and uses the new ARM Cortex-X9 architecture. The processor configuration includes eight cores in a 1+3+4 scheme: one high-performance Travis core at 3.23 GHz, three Alto cores at 3.03 GHz and four energy-efficient Gelas cores at 2.23 GHz.

According to insider Digital Chat Station, the Dimensity 9500 also supports quad-channel LPDDR5X memory at speeds up to 10,667 Mbps, quad-line UFS 4.1 drives, 16MB of third-level cache and 10MB of system cache.

The graphics subsystem is represented by a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU based on the Immortalis-Drage architecture. In a preliminary test this graphics chip scored 15,717 points, but this is an engineering sample - in the final version of the performance may be higher.

Insiders believe that the new chip is so powerful that it could score more than 4 million points in AnTuTu tests. Against the background of Qualcomm's preparation for the release of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (Elite 2), Dimensity 9500 may become a serious competitor among flagship solutions for Android gadgets.

When We Can Expect It

According to preliminary information, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 is scheduled to be announced in September 2025. It is expected that the first smartphones with the new processor will be Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9.
