The pinnacle of marketing: the release date for ambitious action-RPG Crimson Desert was revealed in an interview with a local Korean publication
The release date of big-budget games is usually revealed in flashy and spectacular trailers, but Pearl Abyss studio, which is completing work on ambitious action-RPG Crimson Desert, has chosen another, somewhat strange way.
Here's What We Know
Pearl Abyss staff gave an interview to Korean publication Money Today, in which Crimson Desert's release date was unexpectedly revealed.
Earlier the game was promised to be released at the end of 2025, but now the exact date has become known - 2 November.
Recall, Crimson Desert is a dark role-playing game, which was supposed to be a spin-off of the popular MMORPG Black Desert, but in the course of production turned into an independent single project.
The novelty is characterised by excellent graphics, dynamic combat system, huge open world with a lot of picturesque locations and unique enemies and exciting quests.
In terms of gameplay, the Korean action game is extremely similar to many popular modern games, including The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy XVI, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Dragon's Dogma 2.
Crimson Desert will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the leak revealed that the game will also be coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
