After the disastrous launch of MindsEye, which garnered a flurry of negative reviews for its poor performance, sluggish open world, and frequent crashes, Build a Rocket Boy seems to be working on a new game. And this project is rumoured to be connected to an extremely popular television show. Will the team headed by former Rockstar Games producer Leslie Benzis be able to rehabilitate after a high-profile failure?

Here's What We Know

MindsEye, which was released earlier this month, faced harsh criticism. Players compared it to the buggy Cyberpunk 2077 at the start, but with a much worse result. Just before the release, two top managers mysteriously left the company, which raised many questions. And to make matters worse, the studio did not send press copies for reviews, which only fuelled suspicions.

Now, despite all this mess, rumours are circulating that Build a Rocket Boy is already working on a brand new, unannounced project, and it may be connected to a very famous television show.

This claim comes from the Spanish YouTuber BaityBait, who claims to have spoken to numerous developers involved with MindsEye. According to him, the team is quietly working on a second project that includes a large well-known licence.

In his video, BaityBait says that in parallel with the early work on MindsEye 2, the studio is also developing a separate project based on a very popular TV series. He does not name the IP, but makes it clear that it is something that "everyone knows".

"They also have another secret project in development, one that has a very powerful licence for a very large company, which has not yet been announced," BaityBait said. "I can't tell you what it is, they explicitly asked me not to say, but I can tell you that it's based on a TV series that 'everyone knows'."

So far, there are no clear hints as to which show it might be based on.
