The second phase of beta testing for Gears of War: Reloaded has been extended and more content will be added to it

The first stage of beta testing of multiplayer mode of Gears of War: Reloaded - the updated version of the cult shooter of 2006 - aroused great interest of gamers and before the start of the second stage The Coalition studio made an important decision.

Here's What We Know

"We heard you" - said the developers and extended the second stage of testing Gears of War: Reloaded for nine hours.

It will start on the 20th of June and will last not till the evening of the 22nd of June, but till 06:00 (CEST) on the 23rd of June.

In addition, the developers will add more content.

Maps will appear in the Social Team Deathmatch mode:

  • Gridlock
  • Gold Rush
  • Raven Down
  • +Courtyard
  • +War Machine.

King of the Hill (KOTH) and Execution (new) competitive modes will have maps available:

  • Gridlock
  • Raven Down
  • +Courtyard
  • +War Machine
  • +Canals (new).

When We Can Expect It

Gears of War: Reloaded will be released on 26 August. The game will be released not only on PC and Xbox Series, but also for the first time in the history of the series will appear on PlayStation. The shooter will be available on Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming (with Xbox Play Anywhere) from day one.

The updated game claims the following improvements:

  • 4K resolution;
  • 60 FPS in the story campaign;
  • 120 FPS in multiplayer mode;
  • support for HDR, Dolby Vision and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos and 3D sound;
  • VRR technology support;
  • 4K assets and enhanced textures;
  • enhanced visual effects, shadows and reflections;
  • super resolution with improved anti-aliasing;
  • no loading screens during the story campaign;
  • cross-play and cross-progression on all platforms.
