Hide the swords: popular VR game Beat Saber will no longer receive an update on PlayStation
Beat Games Studios has announced that support for the VR game Beat Saber on PlayStation has been discontinued.
Here's What We Know
After 18 June, the rhythm game Beat Saber will stop receiving updates on PS4 and PS5 and, respectively, on PS VR and PS VR2.
This decision is due to the developers' intention to develop the game differently, but in what way - is not yet reported. Those who have already bought Beat Saber will be able to continue playing the game, and there are no plans to remove it from the PS Store.

Already released sets and tracks will be available to buy separately, but the ability to play online will be switched off on 21 January 2026.
As a reminder, Beat Saber debuted in Early Access in May 2018, with a full release a year later on PC and PlayStation 4. The game is primarily focused on VR and offers to swing lightsabers to the beat of your favourite music, and thanks to such a concept, the game gained huge popularity and became a hit.
