Dying Light: The Beast will offer a record arsenal in the history of the series: the game director spoke about the freedom of choice of weapons and ways to destroy zombies
IGN channel published an exclusive video about zombie action game Dying Light: The Beast, which was originally developed as an add-on for Dying Light 2, but grew into a standalone game.
Here's What We Know
Game director of Dying Light: The Beast Nathan Lemaire told about the huge arsenal of weapons - the main character Kyle Crane will get them. After the events of the first part of the game he was in a secret laboratory for thirteen years, where he was genetically experimented by a man nicknamed Baron. His goal was to create a perfect hybrid of zombie and human, but Crane managed to break free and now wants to take revenge on his enemy.
As in previous instalments, players will be able to choose between cold weapons and firearms and they will have their own advantages and disadvantages. For example, a pistol, shotgun or even a grenade launcher damages the Infected and allows you to destroy them at long distances, but at the same time in the post-apocalyptic world the ammunition for firearms is critically limited, and each shot makes a lot of noise, which can run away not only zombies, but also looters.
In turn, cold weapons are created practically from improvised objects and do not make noise, but they have a limited reserve of durability, so they must either be constantly repaired or switched to other weapons.
In general, Dying Light: The Beast doesn't limit the player and allows him to use the weapon he prefers, but the most effective will be a combination of cold and firearms, especially since the new part has a record-breaking arsenal.
In Dying Light: The Beast there will be more open space than in the previous parts, and transport will be available from the very beginning of the passage. The developers promise to keep RPG elements from the second part, but expand survival mechanics.
When We Can Expect It
Dying Light: The Beast release date is 22 August on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
