EA Sports College Football 26 takes it to the next level: 2800 new plays, Platinum abilities and complete control of the field of play
After the huge success of last year's version, EA Sports College Football 26 aims to exceed all expectations. In a new video with a detailed overview, the developers have revealed the secrets of the sequel's expanded playbook, brand new archetypes, and other innovations that will make the game even more interesting.
Here's What We Know
This time, we are looking forward to more than 2800 new draws and more than 45 new formations, which significantly expands the tactical capabilities of players. In addition, there are 10 new archetypes that will add uniqueness to each player on the field. The total number of abilities has increased to 84, while the existing options have been rebalanced for greater harmony.
Most excitingly, these abilities will now scale based on player performance. And if that weren't enough, a hot player will be able to upgrade their Platinum tier abilities to the Heisman tier, where they can effectively "take over" the game, dominating the field and dramatically affecting the outcome of the match.
Other notable innovations include dynamic substitutions that won't interrupt the flow of the game, allowing you to quickly adapt to changing situations on the field. There's also a new Block Steering system that gives you better control and direction over your blocking players, opening up new opportunities for creative plays. 12 types of Stunts have been added to diversify control and quickly break through the defensive line.
EA Sports College Football 26 is out on 10 July on Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
