It's no secret that CD Projekt RED is preparing a new update for its mega-popular game Cyberpunk 2077, but there was no exact release date. Now, in a new post, the developers have confirmed that the 2.3 update was planned to be released on 26 June, but the team "needs more time to make sure they are happy with the result". So, the update will not be released on this day, but CD Projekt RED promises to reveal more details later.

Here's What We Know

Although the date has been postponed, the studio has confirmed that the 2.3 update will have a similar size to the 2.2 update that was released last December. At that time, CD Projekt RED collaborated with Virtuos and added significant new customisation options to the role-playing game, including changing car colours and 112 new character creation options.

In addition, the 2.2 update introduced ten new vehicles and allowed Johnny Silverhand to appear when you drive. There's even a new Drone option in Photo Mode that lets you capture even more epic shots of Knight City. We can expect the 2.3 update to continue this trend, adding even more personalisation options and enhancing the gaming experience.

As with previous major updates, version 2.3 will be exclusive to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC versions, as well as the recently launched port to Nintendo Switch 2.
