Lenovo has unveiled the Chromebook Plus 14, the first Chromebook powered by MediaTek's Kompanio 520 Ultra platform with a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) capable of handling up to 50 TOPS. There are 4 built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7, support for connecting two external 4K displays, a 5 MP camera with physical privacy curtain and optionally a fingerprint scanner.

The device supports advanced ChromeOS features with AI integration:

  • Smart Grouping - automatically group tabs and apps by task;

  • Select to Search - quickly search for information by selected text or an element on the screen;

  • Help me read - simplifying complex texts.

In addition, buyers will get a one-year Google AI Premium Plan subscription, which includes Gemini 2.5 Pro, 2TB of storage and access to some tools like video generation (Veo).

The base version of the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 without a touchscreen costs from $649, while the top-end configuration with an OLED display, 16GB of RAM and 256GB SSD will cost $749. Sales have started on Lenovo's website and Best Buy online.
