Resident Evil Requiem's debut trailer was one of the most high-profile events of the summer game shows. The franchise has a huge number of loyal fans who are eagerly awaiting the release of the ninth instalment of the series.

A few days ago Capcom opened the game's page in digital shops, allowing everyone to add it to their wishlist and this option showed a real interest in the game.

Here's What We Know

The Japanese developer said that already more than a million players have added Resident Evil Requiem to their wishlist.

As a reminder, Capcom will be holding a broadcast on 27 June to reveal important news including Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and their other games.

Flashback

Resident Evil Requiem's storyline will centre on Grace Ashcroft, a girl who was kidnapped by the Baker family in Resident Evil 7, and now she is an FBI agent and must figure out what is going on. Players will return to Raccoon City, which was left only in ruins, and even visit the famous police station, where the events of Resident Evil 2 unfolded. It is known that there will be one more central character in the game, probably it will be Leon Kennedy.

When We Can Expect It

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on 27 February 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
