Civilisation VII adds huge maps, advanced settings and Steam Workshop support: the grand strategy game has received its biggest update yet
Firaxis Games studio has released a major update 1.2.2 for Sid Meier's Civilisation VII. This time the developers have implemented the features that gamers have been asking for.
Here's What We Know
The patch is available on all platforms except Switch - this is due to the fact that the game now supports large and "huge" maps. The developers warn that they can overload the system, and Nintendo console would definitely not cope with them.
Despite the increased map size, Civilisation VII's multiplayer modes will continue to be limited to eight players.
The patch includes the following new features:
- the game now has official Steam Workshop support, which will make it easier to install modifications;
- advanced settings have been added, so you can now personalise AI behaviour and other key aspects of strategy;
- more useful information has been added to the loading screens;
- developers have recorded additional lines for English voice acting;
- new bonuses for cities and religions have been added.
The full list of patch changes is available on the Civilisation VII website.
Recall, Civilisation VII is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
