Console versions of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary are delayed - due to unforeseen issues, the game will temporarily only be available on PC
Developers from Nightdive Studios have shared some news that will upset console users waiting for the release of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary.
Here's What We Know
The release of the remaster of Warren Spector's 1999 cult game, which is a classic of the Immersive sim genre, is scheduled for 26 June, but on that day only PC gamers will be able to get acquainted with System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary.
The American studio said that due to unforeseen difficulties it has to postpone the release of the game on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The exact date of release of console versions of the authors are not yet called, but promise to meet within the first half of July.
Recall, unlike the highly praised remake of the first part, System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary is only a remaster and offers small improvements in graphics and visual effects, as well as adaptation of the game for modern platforms, while the developers will not make significant changes to gameplay mechanics, leaving them as close to the original.
