The release of the "unbreakable" smartphone Fairphone 6, which is partly made of recycled materials, but the main feature of all Fairphone models is the modular design, in which you can replace all the main components: battery, cameras, USB-port, display, speakers, etc., and the user can do it himself with a screwdriver. There are 12 interchangeable components available for Fairphone 6!

Here's What We Know

Fairphone 6 gets a 6.31″LTPO P-OLED display with a resolution of 2484×1116 and up to 120Hz. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, which provides long-term protection against scratches and bumps.

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and has been given 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The gadget's cameras (let's emphasise, they're interchangeable too):

  • 50MP, 1/1.56, OIS (main, Sony Lytia 700C),
  • 13 MP, 1/3.06", OIS (wide-angle),
  • 32 MP, OIS, autofocus (front-facing, Samsung KD1).

The smartphone comes with Android 15 and will get support until 2033. A version with /e/OS based on Android is also offered, which maximises privacy but makes Google services inaccessible.

The battery capacity is 4415 mAh. The Fairphone 6 supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C 2.0, 5G, and is IP55 certified and shockproof to the MIL-STD-810H military standard.

The Fairphone 6 is already on sale in Europe in three colours for a price of €599. There is no charging cable included, but buyers are additionally offered a protective case, card holder, strap and finger mount - all accessories, according to Fairphone's concept, attach independently with a screwdriver.
