Netflix Games is losing its hits: Hades, Katana ZERO, and Monument Valley will disappear from the subscription in July 2025
The streaming giant has announced that a significant number of games that were available to subscribers will soon disappear from the service. Although game rotation is a common practice, this time Netflix is losing many of its hits, including such critically acclaimed titles as Katana ZERO, Braid Anniversary Edition, and the entire Monument Valley trilogy.
Here's What We Know
Starting from July 2025, a number of games will leave the service. In particular, 14 July will be the "last day to play" for such hits as Hades and The Case of the Golden Idol along with the sequel. According to What's On Netflix, these removals account for about 20% of all games available on Netflix Games. The full list of titles that will be removed can be found below.
For players who have been using the service to access these premium mobile games, the affected titles will begin to display a "Leaving Soon" icon on their icons, giving players plenty of time to say goodbye to their favourite games. "As with TV shows and movies, games will be removed from Netflix when their licences expire," the company said earlier.
Despite the fact that many games are leaving the service, the report indicates that Netflix has no plans to slow down its investment in gaming divisions. On the contrary, the company reportedly wants to focus its investments on "big-screen" gaming projects starting this year. Nevertheless, mobile games will still be available on the service in the meantime.
As a reminder, Hades was released on iOS via Netflix Games in March 2024. The port, created in collaboration between the original developer Supergiant Games and Secret6, is compatible with iPhones and iPads running on iOS 16 or later.
Meanwhile, Netflix Games still has several acclaimed titles, including Civilization 7, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, and Dead Cells: Netflix Edition.
