Authoritative insider Tom Henderson has already several times Tactical shooter with a dark plot: insider reveals first details of the new Ghost Recon instalment - the new part of Ghost Recon tactical shooter series, and today he brought a new portion of interesting news.

Here's What We Know

Several of Henderson's sources in Ubisoft said that the company has made good progress in the development of the Ghost Recon sequel and plans to move the game into the internal alpha testing stage as early as autumn 2025.

Thus, it is expected that the game could be released in autumn next year, with the first demo of the game taking place in early summer, probably as part of Ubisoft's Forward 2026 presentation.

Henderson previously reported that the events of Project Over will unfold in the fictional state of Naiman in Southeast Asia, which is under the control of war criminals.

The stylistics and tone of the narrative will be much darker, as the developers are focused on the early parts of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The game will add a lot of tense, sharp and morally ambiguous moments - Ubisoft aims to bring the series back to its roots and bring it closer to the genre of unhurried tactical shooters.

For the first time in years, Ghost Recon will feature a first-person view, and gameplay will be more complex and demanding in terms of action planning.
