DJI announces FlyCart 100, a $12,500 cargo drone with a parachute system
DJI has announced a new cargo drone, the FlyCart 100 (FC100), designed for industrial logistics and demanding tasks. The drone can carry up to 80 kg of cargo and operate in harsh environments. This goes beyond the limits of conventional consumer models.
Here's What We Know
The maximum take-off weight of the FC100 is 149.9 kg. With a full load, the drone can fly up to 6 km on a single charge, in dual-battery mode - up to 12 km with a 65 kg load, and without a load - up to 26 km.
The FlyCart 100 is equipped with 62-inch carbon fibre propellers and a coaxial dual rotor system. Thanks to its IP55-rated protection, it can operate in dust, light rain, and wind speeds of up to 12 m/s. The drone is capable of flying in a temperature range from -20°C to +40°C and climbing up to 6000 m.

The drone is powered by a 41Ah DB2160 battery with hot-swappable and fast charging support - a full charge in 9 minutes with DJI charging stations. FlyCart 100 has an automatic load balancing system, real-time weight sensor and motorised hook for secure attachment.
Flight safety is ensured by a built-in parachute that deploys even under maximum load, as well as an advanced sensor system with LiDAR, millimetre radar and a five-way camera for precise obstacle detection.
The RC Plus 2 controller with a 7-inch display and dual-operator support works via the DJI O4 protocol and integrates with the cloud service for mission planning.
The price of the basic version with a charger is about $12,500, and the flagship version is up to $16,700 with a charging station.
At the same time, DJI is preparing to launch its first 360-degree camera and drone, the Mini 5 Pro.
