The first teaser trailer for Nolan's highly anticipated film The Odyssey, which is currently screening exclusively in cinemas before Jurassic World: Resurgence, is already being actively leaked online. Despite the desire of the director and Universal to keep this first look exclusive to cinemas, screen captures taken on mobile phones are spreading like wildfire on social media and YouTube.

Here's What We Know

The trailer opens with what appears to be the voiceover of Eumaeus, Odysseus' slave and friend, calling him "my master". It is not yet known who voices this role.

The teaser quickly switches between short shots of the Mediterranean Sea and the legendary Trojan Horse on the beach. Next, we see Telemachus (son of Odysseus), played by Tom Holland, meeting with King Menelaus, played by Jon Bernthal.

Telemachus is looking for information about the fate of his long-lost father Odysseus (Matt Damon), who fought alongside Menelaus in the Trojan War. Menelaus tells Telemachus about the various rumours about what happened to his father. When imprisonment is mentioned, Menelaus scoffs at the idea, saying, "What prison could hold such a man?"

Odysseus himself only briefly appears in the frame from a distance or from the back, adding to the mystery surrounding the man who became a legend. There's also a quick glimpse of Lupita N'yongo, who probably plays Menelaus' wife, Helen of Troy, whose beauty led to a thousand ships and the start of the Trojan War.

Nolan is once again diving into a large-scale and epic story, this time adapting one of the most famous myths. We have to wait for the official release of the trailer to fully appreciate the visual style and atmosphere of the upcoming film.

However, we will not publish it here due to possible copyright infringement, so we are waiting for the official screening.
