Nothing CEO Carl Pei has revealed when users of the British brand's smartphones will receive Nothing OS 4.0 firmware based on Android 16.

Here's What We Know

Carl Pei said that Nothing will be one of the last companies to integrate Android 16 into its devices. He didn't give a specific date, but noted that the updated operating system won't be released until autumn 2025 at the earliest.

It makes sense that the flagship Nothing Phone (3), which was unveiled on 1 July, will be the first to get the update, and then other compatible models will get the OC.

Flashback

Nothing OS is the company's proprietary shell, which features a minimalistic design and focuses on ease of use. Nothing OS 4 is expected to offer users more interface customisation options, as well as improved app experience and better overall performance.
