A new Resident Evil game has been announced, but it's not what you think it is
Capcom has unveiled a new game in the Resident Evil franchise, but it's not a horror, co-operative action or even an online game like the The story of Resident Evil Re: Verse is over - Capcom has shut down the servers of the failed online action game. Moreover, its direct development is done not by the famous Japanese company, but by outsourcing studios Aniplex and JOYCITY.
Here's What We Know
So, the developers announced Resident Evil: Survival Unit - real-time strategy game for iOS and Android.
It is stated that the game will retain the main features of Resident Evil, but will offer a "fresh take on the much-loved franchise" and showcase it in a new genre. Capcom will oversee development to ensure gamers get a quality and fun game that will follow the Resident Evil canon.
When We Can Expect It
There is no official release date for Resident Evil: Survival Unit yet, perhaps it will be announced during a special stream that will take place on 11 July on the game's YouTube channel.
Resident Evil: Survival Unit will be available for gamers in Europe, Asia and North America.
