Supergiant Games has released what is likely the last update for Hades II in Early Access. The patch brings balance tweaks, optimizations, and new dialogue, but most importantly, it's in preparation for a full launch, which has been scheduled for late 2024/early 2025. Players will get one last stop before the official release of the Hades sequel.

According to the studio, there will be no updates in the coming months - the team is fully focused on finishing the game and releasing 1.0. A full-fledged version of Hades II is expected to be released by the end of the year, but there's no exact date yet.

What's new in the patch

The patch doesn't bring huge plot twists, but is important for getting the game ready for release:

  • Improved performance and stability (especially on Steam Deck)
  • Balanced spells, weapons, and abilities
  • Added new variable dialogue (including with Hecate and Selene)
  • Fixed bugs, including visual and UI related bugs
  • Minor gameplay improvements (such as after death or when transitioning between biomes)

Hades II is not just a sequel: the game is already praised by critics and players as improved, deeper developed, but still a hell of a drive.

Hades II Final Build Guide
