Casio has announced a new G-Shock x Hanshin Tigers watch, created in honour of the 90th anniversary of the Japanese baseball team. The model is part of the DW-6900X series and is available in limited quantities.

Here's What We Know

The watch case is made of black polymer with gold and beige accents, and the strap is decorated with a tiger print in the same colours. The steel caseback features the Hanshin Tigers logo.

Like other G-Shocks, this model is shock resistant and can withstand pressures up to 20 ATM. The digital display shows the time, day of the week and date. The upper part of the dial contains the Triple Graph, an indicator for the stopwatch with an accuracy of 1/100th of a second. The watch also has a countdown timer, an alarm, a fully automatic calendar and LED backlighting, which is activated by a large button at the bottom.

According to the product page, the battery is designed to last up to seven years, which is longer than the usual DW-6900 series models, which usually last 2-5 years.

The watch comes in a collectible metal box with a branded design. In Japan, it costs 20,900 yen (approximately $145) and is already available for pre-order through the official Hanshin Tigers store. It is not yet known whether this model will be available on Casio's online store or outside Japan.
