The toughest Jeep Compass is ready to get a lot of dirt in the cabin
Jeep has revealed additional details about the Compass 4xe, designed for buyers with active lifestyles. This crossover stands out from other versions with durable bumpers, wear-resistant interior materials and increased ground clearance.
Here's What We Know
Although Jeep revealed the exterior of the all-wheel-drive Compass 4xe during its world premiere last May, this is the first full interior reveal. Features specific to the model include upgraded polyurethane-treated cloth upholstery. Jeep claims it's twice as resistant to wear and tear as standard fabric and is much easier to clean after travelling through mud.
In addition, the backs of the rear seats have protective padding suitable for carrying pets or outdoor gear. The interior also features more storage and rubberised mats designed to withstand mud, gravel and water.
Stylistically, interior features include khaki-coloured accents on the front fascia, doors and seats. Jeep claims this colour palette helps to better mask dirt over time. A 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 16-inch infotainment screen are standard.
On the outside, the Compass 4xe features slightly redesigned front and rear bumpers coated with a scratch-resistant Bumper Shield coating. It also gets more prominent protective plates, a rear towbar, a matte black anti-glare sticker on the bonnet and a new set of 19-inch wheels fitted with high profile tyres. More importantly, the Compass 4xe has 10mm more ground clearance than the standard model.
The new Compass is compatible with a variety of powertrain types, including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric configurations. The PHEV develops a combined output of 195bhp, while the all-electric twin-motor version develops up to 375bhp.
Sales in Europe are expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2025, with production taking place in Italy. The US version remains in doubt for now due to ongoing tariff disputes.
