Xiaomi has started distributing a new software update for the Smart Band 10 fitness bracelet, which was launched on the global market just a few days ago.

The new software, version 2.1.71, not only improves the stability of the device, but also adds several useful features that will make using the gadget more comfortable.
Smart Band 10, which is already available for pre-order, including for US users via import, does not have a GPS module and some other advanced options that more expensive smartwatches have. However, this update addresses a number of shortcomings in the previous firmware and reduces the number of possible errors during use.
One of the notable new features is the ability to customise the type of vibration for different notifications. Users can now choose their own vibration options, just like they customise ringtones. However, not all notification types support this feature yet. For example, reminders of an upcoming event still use a standard tone.
Another feature is games based on hand or wrist movements. Previously, such movements were used to activate the screen or count steps, but now they have become part of the gameplay. It is worth noting that similar games were already available in Xiaomi Smart Band 9, so this is more of an improvement than a completely new option.
Xiaomi has not yet published a detailed schedule for the update, but it is expected to roll out gradually to different regions. This will help avoid large-scale problems in case of critical bugs after installation.
